I usually make my nerdy posts viewable to friends/family and to the appropriate group, but I think this calls for a general post.
I declare proudly to the interwebs, that my main on WoW hit 70 yesterday. There you have it.
I hate to go for the trifecta in less than two hours, but I just have something else to post about.
I may be done with WoW.
I'm coming up on my two year anniversary of playing, and I thought I would never say it, but I may be done. I have gotten so much entertainment and satisfaction out of playing this game, but with the release of the expansion, I just can't seem to get myself to log in.
I got in there and did a couple quests in The Outland, and it was fun to shred things as a kitty again, but the whole time I was just thinking about playing other games, or watching Mythbusters, or anything.
My favorite thing about WoW is raiding with my guild, some of whom are already 63 and 64. If I don't get leveled up soon, I'm not sure what the future will hold for them, seeing as how they're short Druids to begin with. But honestly that's a minimal concern.
Part of me thinks, should I take this as the moment to quit for good? When I have the least inclination to play? If you had asked me to quit a couple months ago, I definitely wouldn't have.
I think the thing to do is try one last push. So I've committed myself to one day of playing hardcore to see if I can get hooked. If by the end of the day, I still have no desire to play, I'll cancel my account.
